Tipping for haircuts and salon services follows the general tipping culture of the country, similar to restaurants.
In the US, 15-20% of the service cost is standard, similar to restaurant tipping. In much of Europe, rounding up or a smaller amount is more typical. Where restaurant tipping isn't customary in a country, salon tipping usually isn't either.
If several people work on you (for example, one person washes your hair and another cuts it), the tip is usually left for the main stylist to divide, or split between them directly if you're paying separately.
