Tip Split is a free calculator that splits a restaurant bill and the tip between several people. It also has written guides to tipping customs in fifteen countries and in common situations, such as hotels, taxis, movers and tours.
Each guide is based on published sources, such as government travel pages, tourism boards, industry bodies and news reports. Each guide lists its sources at the end and says that it was checked on 1 November 2026. Where the sources disagree, or where we could not confirm a figure, the guide says so instead of giving a single number.
